HawaH is an author, educator, yogi, and nonprofit leader. He is Co-founder/ CEO of One Common Unity, a non-profit that breaks cycles of violence and builds compassionate, healthy communities through the transformative power of music, arts, and peace education. Over the years, Hawah has published four books: "Trails: Trust Before Suspicion" (2001), "Escape Extinction" (2003), "zerONEss" (2006) and "The Poetry of Yoga" (2011 & 2013). He has also produced 3 documentary films, including the award-winning, "Fly By Light" (2015); and released two music albums. In 2019, Hawah was honored to receive Georgetown University's "Legacy Of A Dream" Award at the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. The University presents the award annually to an inspirational emerging leader whose work embodies the values and spirit of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
